Seminar House Bad Eilsen

The seminars of ISER take place in a Seminar House in Bad Eilsen. It is the former Eye Hospital in Bad Eilsen, a partially remodeled historic building complex. The "Stiftung Waldhof gGmbH" is going to use this building especially for medical and therapeutic training opportunities. The "Waldhof" is surrounded by a park-like garden, built as a square timber-frame building around a courtyard and situated on a hill with a view to wooded hills of the northern Weserbergland.

The almost monastery-like architecture was built in 1936 as an internationally renowned eye clinic and was used after World War II as a hotel.
With the eye clinic the names of renowned eye specialists are connected as Maximilian Graf Wiser and Friedrich von Tippelskirch treated with complementary methods eye ailments.

The Waldhof is located near to the small mountain range Harrl, which extends to approximately four kilometers between Bad Eilsen and Bückeburg. It is 211 m high (at Idaturm) and covered with mixed forest (mostly hardwood forest).
